Signing in
Sign in on the app's Account screen with your e-mail address. You get a message with a sign-in link and a six-digit code beside it: open the link on the phone the game is on, or type the code into the app if you read your mail elsewhere. If nothing arrives within a few minutes, look in the spam folder. You can also play without an account; an account keeps your game from phone to phone.
The fog does not clear
The fog clears as you walk, once your phone's position is accurate enough; a grey ring around your picture means it is not yet. Nothing clears in a car, bus or train, and you are shown on the map as a car. To clear fog with the phone in your pocket, keep “Let the app work in the background” at the bottom of the map switched on and allow location. Background clearing turns itself off after half an hour in one place, or half an hour of travel in a vehicle; the next time you open the app it asks whether to turn it back on.
Treasures
The game's own treasures are found by walking over their square. Other players' and businesses' treasures wait on cleared ground as dice, and a treasure is yours when you stand on its square. Each player gets one treasure of a Loot Drop. A treasure's prize, such as an offer, is the business's or player's who hid it.
Your account and data
Signing out empties the phone, and everything comes back with the next sign-in. You can delete your account in the app: Account → Delete account. The privacy notice says what the game holds and how to ask for it.
For businesses: Loot Drop
Drops are bought and managed in the portal. Payments are handled by Stripe, which sends the receipt. If a paid drop did not activate, the payment is refunded in full automatically. If anything else went wrong, write to [email protected] with the drop's name.
